CSAs

Community Shared Agriculture programs(CSA) were created in response to concerns about food safety and the urbanization of agricultural land. They consist of a community of individuals who pledge financial support to a farm operation. Generally focused on the production of high quality foods; both growers and consumers share in the risks and benefits of food production.

CSAs supports the costs of ecologically sound and socially equitable agriculture. The system has many variations but usually consist of weekly delivery or pick-up used a 'box' scheme.
