Mission

"In every deliberation we must consider the impact on the seventh generation.” Great Law of the Iroquois

Our future civilization is shaped by what we do today. Natural, nutritious food is vital to individual health and community wellbeing.

Access to safe, healthy food is a basic human right. For the past thirty years, our food supply has transformed into a massive, vertically integrated, global business network. Sanctioned by NAFTA and supported by governments right along north/south trade corridor, our food supply is now controlled by a handful of enterprises that readily place corporate responsibility ahead of the public’s health and planetary wellbeing.

Today, these corporations continue to augment our food supply with inadequately tested, genetically engineered food. The weight of evidence is proving this has changed not only what we eat, but how we eat. Within the thirty years that agribusiness has stocked our grocery shelves nation-wide obesity and dietary disease has reached epidemic proportions. In addition, doctors are now linking inadequate diets to poor behavior and low academic achievement.

Bridging the connection between ideas and what gets done, Organic Principle is a non-profit organization dedicated to the emergence of communities where ecology, commerce and social equity prosper. We take a multifaceted long-term approach the issues of food security by acting as an umbrella organization to encompass a wide range of initiatives which promote healthy, local food raised and distributed using ecological safe practices.

Humanity's common heritage (cultural and natural) should be held in trust for future generations and be protected from exploitation by individual national states or corporations. We work collaboratively to link sustainable farms to consumer communities to forge a path that will lead to a healthy and prosperous future.
